OFFER — Concert productions

What is your standard offering

For our standard offering, we require 40-Videos as a booking fee. 2-weeks after the concert, the balance of the order becomes due. The total order consists of the 40-video booking fee + the balance.

Why do you have this standard pricing model

It is to accommodate small schools specifically. But medium to large schools will benefit as well. This model puts all the risk on RGB and none to the school.

May I load my DVD price?

The answer is no. Considering the high cost of video productions, RGB is of the opinion that the quality and price of our standard offering is extremely reasonable. If you would like to market the video as your own product, RGB will gladly quote you for it.

What if we market and administer sales?

With our standard offer, RGB carries all of the risks and thus you may not load your price. As it stands, the school pays nothing for the service and for that we expect the school to administer and communicate towards parents as payment. If you do load the price and RGB find out, RGB will withhold final delivery until the balance of the overcharge is fully paid to RGB.

I am not interested in your standard offer — will you consider a custom quotation?

Yes, we most definitely will. Relay your requirements via email or via our online form and then we will get some information from you and then quote.

DVD-USB-SD-HD

Do you offer DVD-discs only? What other media do you offer?

RGB offers an HD version of the video currently on USB-stick. In future, we will offer other modes of distribution too. Currently, we offer DVD and USB-stick only.

How do you package DVD’s?

DVD’s are packed in a “Clam Shell” case. You may request a quotation for an A5-Case with printed full colour cover.

Do you print the disc?

Yes. Our standard offer includes black-and-white inkjet printing with a clear and practical layout.

Do you offer the video in HD

As an alternative to DVDs, RGB also offers USB-sticks with a High Definition (HD) version of your video.

Is there a difference between SD and HD video?

Yes. HD-video is much higher quality than SD. DVD is delivered in SD (Standard Definition) and the HD (High Definition) video is delivered on USB-Stick currency.

Will the DVD have a menu for navigation?

The DVD will include a menu (“Menu”) such as commercial DVDs at rental companies.

Will the HD-Video have a menu for navigation?

No, it will not have an authored menu as is the case with DVDs. Depending on the delivery format it may be presented with Chapters.

BOOKING

Do I pay the same if I have more than 1 cast

No. If you have more than one cast between shows – with different participants – it becomes 2 separate videos with different footage to be edited separately. In that case, you will have to pay a booking fee for 40-videos for each cast.

How long before my event is the booking fee due?

Sixteen (16) weeks before the event the non-refundable booking fee is payable per concert.

When does RGB consider itself booked for my event?

1) When the booking fee is paid.

2) On receipt of the signed contract by the owner or a person authorised to sign on behalf of the business.

TECHNICAL

How many cameras do you use?

The recording will be recorded with 2 to 3 video cameras.

Do you provide lighting?

RGB will provide 2 “flat” flood lights (if necessary) to ensure good video quality.

Does RGB still add lights even if we have our own creative lighting?

If the creative lighting is sufficient to ensure good video quality we will not add lights. But if it is not sufficient we will have to add lights. The flat lighting usually does not overpower the creative lighting, it just ensures all players are adequately lit.

Do you provide sound?

No RGB does not supply sound. We will be able to supply you with the contact numbers of companies who will be able to assist.

Does RGB require the soundtrack or backtrack?

Yes, please. It will help with the quality of the final mix.

DELIVERY

How long does the editing and delivery of the Video take?

RGB aim to deliver the video 6 to 10 weeks after the event. If there are issues we will inform you in good time. We aim to communicate effectively.
